The issue features our design collaboration with Victorinox. Partaking in the re-made edition focusing on ‘design for a better world’ the collaboration occurred thanks to the work of designers; Jenkins & Uhnger, Victorinox and Butchers & Bicycles. The bike is designed to cut a new path for an ancient knife sharpening tradition.
“My story is that I was a bike messenger, and a passionate touring rider. I went backpacking with the bike for several months, so in that way I’ve been involved with bikes for many years, but not in the traditional way”, Michel Röthlisberger says and explains that he thinks the untraditional way that he and his wife got into the business has helped them turn Obst & Gemüse it into something more that just a bike shop.
